worth it

Last spring, I found a pair of jeans on the clearance rack at The Gap.

At the time, K was wearing a size 5, and the jeans were a size 6, so I bought them and put them away for the fall.

A few weeks ago, I took them out of the bag and gave them to K to wear to school.

When he came downstairs wearing them, I realized that I had bought him straight leg jeans by accident. They are basically skinny jeans for boys. I cannot even tell you how cute his little legs look in them, not to mention his tush.

I have to hold myself back from squeezing his tush every time he walks by.

I know it sounds weird. I know. But the other Mommies out there - they know exactly what I'm talking about. Mommies feel the need to squeeze and pinch and bite their children on a regular basis.

It's a love thing, I swear.

But it's not a good thing to do to your 7 year old son. Tush squeezing? He's a little too old. Oh, and also because if I squeeze his tush, then he tries to squeeze mine, and that's definitely not a good thing.

I cropped most of his tush out of this picture because, well, it seemed slightly weird to post it here.

Plus, his tush is all mine. You can't have it.

But here are his legs. In all their skinny jeaned glory. I'm willing to share those.


If you have a skinny little boy, I highly recommend accidentally buying him straight leg jeans.
